Mr & Mrs Riley Dodson, of Paris Texas, are visiting her parents, Mr & Mrs Jim Richardson. 

Mr George Crawford and family, of Ben Lomond, were the guests of Mr & Mrs A Crawford Sunday. 

Mr & Mrs I B Lowery were in Ashdown Wednesday. 

Mr & Mrs Willie Lumpkins and little son were in Ashdown Sunday. 

Mr & Mrs Lee Mauldin and children, of Boswell Oklahoma are visiting friends here this week. 

Mr & Mrs Ernest Mauldin spent Sunday with friends at Pleasant Hill. 

Mr & Mrs F J Cartwright attended church at Foreman Sunday evening. 

Miss Bertie Coleman, of Richmond, is visiting friends here this week. 

William Richardson is on the sick list this week. 

Mr & Mrs Willie Richardson arrived Sunday from New Boston, Texas, where they have been visiting for some time. 

Mr O Hensley was in Ashdown Sunday. 

Quite a number of the people are attending church at Arden this week. 

Mr & Mrs Wiley Lewis, of Foreman, were visiting her mother Mrs JD Hensley, Sunday. 

Mr Will Hampton, who has been seriously ill is some better at this writing. 

Mr & Mrs Buck Cartwright and children were visiting friends at Laynesport Sunday. 

Mary Ella Hensley, who has been ill for some time is better at this writing.

At a meeting of the stockholders of the Little River County Bank the following officers and directors were elected: J.T. Cowling, president; J.H. Wallace, Vice-President; Lon T. Jones, Cashier; J.L. Martin and Clifford Locke, Assistant Cashiers.
The Carey Davenport saw mill at Red Bluff was destroyed by fire Sunday morning.  The mill will not be rebuilt.
J.R. Bowles left last week for Jena, La., where he will have charge of a large lumber concern.  Mr. Bowles is a first class lumber man and will be able to deliver the goods. 
Dr. W.W. York has purchased a new automobile.  It arrived Tuesday and the doctor drove it about town like an old hand.  The machine is a Ford model.
The water was turned on Tuesday for the first time in the mains of the new system.  We will have plenty of good water now.
Contract has been let for graveling the street from the Little River County Bank to the Price Hotel
Call for your bread checks at the New England Bakery, 27 loaves for $1.00.
Miss Majel Quinn and Roscoe Wood have returned from Fayetteville where they have been attending the University of Arkansas.
O.D. Turner, G.A. Orton and C.N. Thill spent Wednesday and Thursday fishing on Little River.

T.F. Henson Died Here Early Thursday

T.F. Henson, aged 79, died at the home of his son, Ed Henson, in the city at an early hour Thursday morning after an extended illness.  The deceased is survived by his wife, four daughters and one son.  The daughters are: Mrs. L.P. Beck, Mrs. J.A. Beck, and Mrs. John Gill all of this place, Mrs. O.E. George of Dallas, Texas, and the son, Ed Henson of this city.
Mr Henson had lived in this immediate section and at Texarkana practically all his life.  He was a good man and a highly respected citizen.
The funeral and burial was held at Hicks Friday afternoon, Rev. W.R. Brown of this place officiating. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church.
